Backblogging and Looking Forward

SO… a LOT has happened in the past couple months, and now I’m fully ready to step up my blogging game. Since I started my blog, I’ve done a lot of crafts but haven’t gotten a chance to post about them. With the move, work, and adjusting to a new city, I haven’t been able to blog as much as I would like. Because of that, I’ve basically been pumping out more DIY projects and recipes than I can blog about! The next few posts will be cranking out DIY’s I did back in Arizona, and hopefully I’ll get caught up soon. I have a ton of new ideas and, now that I have more time, I can’t wait to share!

Recently I’ve been feeling a surge of optimism about life in general. For a while I had been feeling stuck in a rut like something was missing in my life.  Moving was the first step in making a change for the sake of being happy and focusing on my passions. I guess you could say I’m going through  that “soul searching” phase in my life. Even though I still don’t have everything figured out, I am definitely a lot more happy here knowing that I am in control of my life. It’s kind of funny, people immediately thought I moved because of a job, or a relationship, or because I had family in Austin when really my reason for moving was simple: I just wanted to do it. It may be reckless thinking, but I like to look ahead and keep moving forward; If something in my life doesn’t feel right, I move onto the next thing and find what does.

Right now I’m 4 weeks into yoga teacher training (a 3-month program to become a certified yoga instructor), and it has been an amazing (at times stressful) experience so far. I’m thinking of maybe blogging about that journey – the Yoga Chronicles, perhaps? We’ll see. For now though, I have a lot of personal projects in mind to keep me busy!
